Reila Zheng

Reila Zheng is a Ph.D. student in math at the University of Toronto. Her hobbies include singing, trying new food, and befriending neighbourhood cats. She is interested in Women in Math and EDI initiatives because of her positive experience of women supporting each other during her undergrad, as well as many negative experiences of sexism in STEM. Reila is also a co-founder of the departmental Mentorship Program for Women in Math and has served as an organizer for departmental Women in Math Lunches. In addition, she is a founding member of the Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) EDI Committee and is also a member of the CMS Student Committee. She has also organized EDI events at two CMS Meetings.
