Sarah Mayes-Tang

Sarah Mayes-Tang is a professor, mathematician, and educator at the University of Toronto. She grew up in southwestern Ontario and loved reading and learning about almost everything. While attending Queen’s University she decided to major in mathematics because she couldn’t imagine not learning more math. At the end of her undergraduate degree, Sarah still felt the same way, so she continued her education and received her Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Michigan. Next, she helped model what an undergraduate education could be when reimangined from the ground up as a faculty member at Quest University Canada. Now, at U of T, she’s tackling the question of bringing innovative and inclusive education to scale.
