HIs work in films about science, e.g. Hidden Figures, Oppenheimer, Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story, has championed many untold stories about scientific women, including Hedy Lamarr. An informal conversation with with special guest Sky Pape, an extraordinary artist who bridges the worlds of fine art and mathematics. We discussed the spark that sent her along the path to combine art and mathematics, and viewed some of her works from both artistic and mathematical viewpoints.

All Things Being Equal "The Man Who Saved Geometry"
We were thrilled to welcome special guest Siobhan Roberts, beloved in our community especially because of her many science and math articles in the New York Times, to discuss her documentary, The Man Who Saved Geometry. The film is a portrait of the great geometer Donald Coxeter, whose work inspired Buckminster Fuller, helped Escher to draw, and reveals the underlying forms of familiar things, from pineapples to the modem.
