Jeremy Steffler

Jeremy Steffler is a Waterloo alum (BASc, 1999 & MASc, 2002) with over two decades of service to the Waterloo community. He has served on both the board of the University of Waterloo Staff Association and the University of Waterloo Board of Governors, co-developed the LGBTQ+ Making Spaces program, and developed the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity workshop for Waterloo's Award-Winning Principles of Inclusivity series. He is currently a volunteer mediator with Community Justice Initiatives, Chair of the Rainbow Coalition of Waterloo Region, and is a facilitator for the Certificate in Conflict Management and Mediation program at Conrad Grebel University College. Jeremy has been recognized for his leadership in promoting diversity and inclusion by the University of Waterloo Faculty Association Equity Committee, as a recipient of their Equity & Inclusivity Award.

Jeremy recently joined the Faculty of Mathematics as their Equity Officer, working to empower everyone affiliated with the Faculty to create a welcoming community where individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences feel they belong.
