Frithjof Lutscher

I am Frithjof Lutscher (panelist), professor of mathematics since 2005, cross-appointed with biology. In my research, I build bridges between the two fields: mathematics helps understand biology, biology generates new mathematical challenges. I have served on the NSERC Discovery Grant evaluation committee when new requirements about invlusivity and diversity were introduced into the program, and I have served on the Faculty of Science's EDI committee since its inception. I am honoured to be part of the panel on the importance of awareness and people's responsibility to create an inclusive, diverse and equal STEM community.
