2025 Updates

As you may know, sparked by adventures with our theatrical production Truth Values, we formed a nonprofit, Truth and Art, Inc., to further our work uniting performance with compassionate conversations.

This year your generous support allowed the continuing of our mission with a new live presentation of Truth Values at the Colorado School of Mines, paired with a post-performance discussion on belonging in STEM. A huge thank you to donors — please find our gorgeous e-playbill here with your names listed in the special thanks. The presentation prompted the creation of a new and improved website experience.

Our documentary project with stellar creatives New York Times math and science writer Siobhan Roberts and her colleague, artist and filmmaker Amelia Saul, continues to develop albeit with challenges due to changes in the world of academia. This includes my alma mater MIT, which is key to the documentary concept. Donors will receive a special update letter with additional details.

Thanks to your help we have been able to continue the All Things Being Equal discussion series for another year! Highlights of the year include a multi-part presentation of the films of George Csicsery including Journeys of Black Mathematicians, Secrets of the Surface (about Maryam Mirzakhani, the first woman to receive the Fields Medal), and Navajo Math Circles, as well as being featured in an upcoming special issue of MAA Focus Magazine on math and cinema.

We’d love for you to be part of this important work! Please consider a tax-deductible* donation of $379 or more, and any size donation is welcome.
